Cutimed® Epiona® is a sterile innovative 3D dressing, a freeze-dried matrix structure consisting of collagen (90%) and calcium alginate (10%). Collagen is obtained from bovine dermis and consists of collagen types I, III and V. Thanks to its good moisture stability when wetted and its elasticity, Cutimed® Epiona® can be easily applied to the wound. Cutimed® Epiona® does not contain chemical cross-linking agents. Cutimed® Epiona® also stands out for its hemostatic properties. Cutimed® Epiona® promotes wound healing, is soft and easy to shape, and has good absorption capacity.

Indications

Cutimed® Epiona® is indicated for the treatment of all wounds that heal by secondary intention and are free of necrotic tissue, such as:

• Diabetic ulcers
• Venous ulcers
• Pressure ulcers
• Ulcers of mixed vascular etiology
• Traumatic wounds and surgical wounds
• Second-degree burns
