ADHEAR Bone Conduction Audio Processor

Adhear is designed to treat unilateral, bilateral deafness or conductive hearing loss using bone conduction. The Adhear system is a non-invasive bone conduction hearing aid that is attached behind the patient’s ear using an adhesive adapter. More details here.

BoneBridge Bone Conduction Implant System

Bonebridge is an innovative bone conduction implant that sits completely under the intact skin. This allows sound to be transmitted directly to the inner ear using bone conduction. Bone conduction is essential for people for whom sound cannot be transmitted naturally to the inner ear directly through the outer ear and middle ear. Sound is therefore transmitted through the bones of the skull to the inner ear to stimulate the auditory nerve.

Improved electrode options

MED-EL is a leader in cochlear implants because of its ability to produce different types of ultra-soft and flexible electrode leads for maximum protection of the sensitive inner ear. The availability of different types of electrode leads allows surgeons to choose the optimal solution to best suit each individual’s anatomical situation. MED-EL’s standard electrode lead is unique in that it is designed to be extra long and flexible to reach the highest part of the cochlea (the apex) to stimulate the maximum number of nerve fibres. As the electrode output is able to cover the entire length of the cochlea (complete cochlear coverage), it facilitates the widest range of frequencies and results in the most stimulating and satisfying hearing experience.

Maestro cochlear implant system

The system consists of two speech processors, two implant designs, a wide range of electrode leads and a variety of wearing options. One of the unique features of MED-EL is that these options allow doctors and device candidates to choose exactly the combination of elements that best suits their specific clinical needs or individual preferences. All elements are part of the latest cochlear implant technology.

Opus speech processors

OPUS speech processors are a major advance in hearing implant technology. Using the latest advances in chip and sound processing technology, these processors support innovative developments, offering implant users outstanding sound detail and clarity.

Synchrony cochlear implant system

The Synchrony cochlear implant system provides excellent hearing performance, outstanding reliability and unparalleled safety during MR imaging. It is based on MED-EL technology, designed to give a more natural hearing experience.
