PICO – Disposable Negative Pressure Wound Therapy System

PICO – the disposable negative pressure wound therapy system helps accelerate wound closure, reducing the risk of infection and complications.

• provides low, constant negative pressure (-80 mmHg ) ;
• the dressing can absorb up to 300ml of exudate; 80% of the exudate evaporates through the dressing;
• waterproof bandage , allows the patient to shower;
• works for up to 7 or 14 days without changing the dressing (depending on the wound);
• the device is compact, quiet, lightweight and discreet.

Indications:
For wounds with low to moderate exudate , such as chronic and acute wounds, traumatic wounds, subacute, wounds at risk of re-opening, partial depth burns, ulcers, skin graft and recipient sites
Prophylactically after surgeries – e.g. plastic and breast surgery, caesarean section, hip/leg prosthesis, open wounds, vascular surgery, abdominal surgery
Patients at increased risk of infection – Diabetes, obesity, chronic diseases
For wounds in home care – Continuing therapy after discharge
