Allevyn Heel – non-stick hydrocellular polyurethane heel bandage.
The Allevyn Heel bandage helps protect the heel from friction, cushions and evenly absorbs exudate, providing the most favorable moist environment for quick and painless healing. Allevyn Heel can be kept for up to 7 days, depending on the exudate. The dressing is changed if the amount of exudate is visible and approaches 1.5 cm from the edges of the dressing.
The Allevyn Heel has a unique multi-layer structure: a non-stick hydrocellular wound contact layer that does not stick to the wound, a highly absorbent middle hydrocellular layer, an outer waterproof film layer that is permeable to water vapor and air.
The Allevyn Heel should be fixed with an additional fixing strap or tubular strap. ( Hypafix; Opsite Flexifix; Elastofix )
