ALLEVYN GENTLE BORDER LITE dressings have a 3-layer structure that combines an absorbent hydrocellular pad sandwiched between a self-adhesive, perforated silicone gel contact layer and an outer breathable, waterproof film layer.

Indications:

Suitable for shallow, granulating wounds, chronically and acutely exuding wounds, medium and deep wounds with low exudate, i.e.:

• Bedsores
• Diabetic foot ulcers
• Leg ulcers
• Surgical wounds
• First and second degree burns
• Donor locations
• Skin tears

Allevyn Gentle Border Lite Dressing can be used to prevent medical device-related pressure injuries on intact skin as part of a bed rest injury protocol.

Allevyn Gentle Border Lite Dressing absorbs exudate and promotes an optimal moist wound environment for healing, reducing the risk of maceration. The self-adhesive, perforated silicone gel wound contact layer allows exudate to enter the foam layer. The self-adhesive silicone layer is gentle, suitable for use on fragile skin , and allows the bandage to be easily applied, repositioned, and removed. The hydrocellular foam layer absorbs exudate away from the wound. The outer waterproof, breathable film layer allows exudate to evaporate, preventing its leakage and bacterial contamination.

Allevyn Gentle Border Lite can be used together with Intrasite gel , which simultaneously cleanses the wound of necrotic tissue and absorbs excess exudate without damaging the granulation cells.
