Modular pressure-relieving insole for diabetic foot care

People with diabetes are at increased risk of developing serious foot problems.

People with diabetes are at increased risk of developing serious foot problems. Over time, high blood sugar levels can damage nerves (diabetic neuropathy), reducing sensation in the feet. As a result, a person may not notice excessive pressure, friction, or minor injuries. At the same time, diabetes can impair blood circulation, which slows down the healing process of wounds.

One of the most common complications is plantar foot ulcers – open sores that form on the bottom of the foot, most often on the heel or ball of the foot (under the metatarsal bones). Because these areas are subjected to significant pressure during daily standing and walking, ulcers can quickly worsen if the pressure is not effectively reduced or distributed over the entire foot or areas where the skin is not broken. If left untreated, they can become infected and, in severe cases, lead to hospitalization or even amputation.

How does the modular pressure relief insole help?

The PANCP modular insole is specially designed to reduce pressure on sensitive and damaged areas of the foot. Its construction consists of:

  • 10 mm thick slow-memory EVA polyurethane insole consisting of removable rectangular cells;
  • PORON® shock-absorbing layer that absorbs shocks and distributes the load more evenly;
  • Velour base with Velcro fastening, which ensures secure fixation of the insole in the shoe.

The main advantage of this insole is the removable pressure relief cells. Individual rectangular cells can be removed directly under the ulcer or pressure area, creating a small depression. This eliminates direct pressure on the damaged tissue by transferring the body weight to the surrounding healthy tissue.

As the wound heals or the pressure area changes, the removed cells can be reinserted or moved to a different location. This allows the insole to be customized to the healing process and the patient’s individual needs. This modular design is a particularly effective and convenient solution, as diabetic foot ulcers often change in size or location.

How an insole helps you recover and improve your quality of life

By reducing local pressure by up to 60% both while standing and walking, the insole helps:

  • protect existing plantar ulcers from repeated mechanical stress;
  • relieve pain caused by excessive pressure;
  • promote faster wound healing by reducing tissue trauma;
  • reduce the risk of ulcer progression and complications;
  • help prevent the formation of new pressure ulcers in patients with diabetic neuropathy.

Indications for use – diabetic patients and patients after foot surgery

For people with diabetes, protecting their feet from excessive pressure is one of the most important factors in preventing serious complications. The PANCP Modular Pressure Relief Insole provides an effective and customizable solution, shifting the load away from the ulcer or other high-risk area while maintaining cushioning and comfort.

This type of pressure-relieving insole is suitable for diabetic patients:

  • diabetic foot syndrome;
  • diabetic neuropathy and increased risk of plantar ulcers;
  • plantar ulcers on the heel or front of the foot;

The insole is also an effective aid after various foot surgeries, when it is necessary to protect the operated area from excessive pressure. For example, after surgical removal of plantar warts, soft tissue or bone surgeries, as well as in the case of other postoperative wounds, the ability to remove individual insole cells allows for precise relief of the operated area and promotes a more successful healing process.

In addition, such an insole can also be effective for patients after various types of foot surgeries:

  • postoperative wounds in the foot area;
  • after surgical removal of plantar warts to reduce pressure on the operated site and promote healing;
  • after other foot surgeries, such as soft tissue, bone or joint surgery, when short-term or long-term pressure relief is required;
  • for plantar injuries, bruises or other painful areas of the foot where mechanical stress needs to be reduced.

Customized relief for better treatment results

Effective pressure relief is one of the most important prerequisites for successful healing of plantar ulcers, postoperative wounds and the reduction or relief of diabetic foot syndrome. The modular PANCP insole allows you to individually adjust the relief exactly in those areas where it is most needed, while maintaining comfort and cushioning during everyday activities. By reducing pressure on damaged tissues in a timely manner, it is possible not only to promote healing and reduce the risk of complications, but also to help maintain the patient's mobility and quality of life.
