Bactericidal mats

The carpet traps and retains dust and bacteria, avoiding the transfer of glue and pollutants from the carpet to the soles of shoes.
Each mat is made of 30 removable, self-adhesive, thin polyethylene sheets.

The sheets are coated with a non-toxic water-based adhesive.
The adhesive is added with an antibacterial agent, which ensures the bacteriostatic properties of the carpet.
Each layer is only 40 microns thin. It is latex-free and phthalate-free.
Stripping each sheet is the easiest and fastest way to remove all trapped pollutants. The next layer is ready to act as a renewed barrier.
With each peel of the used sheet, the colour of the carpet becomes lighter, indicating that the clean layers will soon run out.
The carpet shall be placed at the entrance of each place where a high level of hygiene and the complete absence of pollutants (dust and bacteria) are required.
The exchange of sheets depends on how often the carpet is moved. It is recommended to peel off the layer before it looks too dirty.

BoneBridge Bone Conduction Implant System

Bonebridge is an innovative bone conduction implant that sits completely under the intact skin. This allows sound to be transmitted directly to the inner ear using bone conduction. Bone conduction is essential for people for whom sound cannot be transmitted naturally to the inner ear directly through the outer ear and middle ear. Sound is therefore transmitted through the bones of the skull to the inner ear to stimulate the auditory nerve.

CERAFORM® synthetic bone substitute

Teknimed’s product CERAFORM® is designed to fill bone defects caused by bone trauma (e.g. tumour, trauma, disease) or surgical procedures (e.g. arthrodesis, osteotomy):

  • The pellets are intended for use in procedures involving tumours or benign bone cysts (shoulder, hip, knee, foot), fractures (shoulder, knee), osteotomies (knee) and spinal fusions;
  • The sticks are designed for use in case of fractures (knee, shoulder),
  • Wedges are designed for use in case of fractures (knee, shoulder).

CERAFORM® synthetic bone substitute is a biocompatible and safe synthetic biphasic ceramic made of hydroxyapatite (HA) and beta tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP). Hydroxyapatite Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2 is a calcium phosphate similar to the mineral phosphase of bone tissue. Tricalcium phosphate Ca3(PO4)2, more soluble than HA, improves the resorption kinetics of CERAFORM®.

Improved electrode options

MED-EL is a leader in cochlear implants because of its ability to produce different types of ultra-soft and flexible electrode leads for maximum protection of the sensitive inner ear. The availability of different types of electrode leads allows surgeons to choose the optimal solution to best suit each individual’s anatomical situation. MED-EL’s standard electrode lead is unique in that it is designed to be extra long and flexible to reach the highest part of the cochlea (the apex) to stimulate the maximum number of nerve fibres. As the electrode output is able to cover the entire length of the cochlea (complete cochlear coverage), it facilitates the widest range of frequencies and results in the most stimulating and satisfying hearing experience.
